Last week, a Casino tycoon bought a Gold Coast multi-level apartment for $7m, beating six other bidders to the penthouse.

Tony Fung, and his brother Justin, are apart of a billionaire family, who last year proposed the $4.2bn Aquis Great Barrier Reef resort - yet despite their lavish purchases, are quiet and modest.

The four-level Soul apartment, located on the Surfer's Paradise beachfront, which was purchased for $7m AUD, was $1 million AUD over the reserve.

The four-bedroom penthouse, named Aurora, was completely stripped back, allowing for any potential buyer to customise the interior to their liking.

The 'Aurora' apartment possesses a swimming pool that is regarded as the highest swimming pool in Queensland, 220m above ground.
