We all remember the Bat Cave, where Bruce Wayne’s Batmobile is elevated up through a waterfall in his lair — well, now Aston Martin is giving you the opportunity to do something similar.
The luxury carmaker has launched a design service that will allow drivers to create garages, homes, and villain-esque lairs that showcase their favourite cars.
Aston Martin’s Automotive Galleries and Lairs service will specifically produce spaces that showcase a client’s most prized possession and have it at the forefront of their home.
Offering everything from bespoke garages to an entire retreat, where the car is presented in a living room, the company his hoping the service will widen the experience of owning a luxury car.
“For the car enthusiast, the garage is as important as the rest of the house,” explained the company's chief creative officer, Marek Reichman.
“A bespoke auto gallery designed by Aston Martin that either focuses on showing off the car or is part of a larger, integrated entertainment space will take Aston Martin ownership to the next level.”
One example released by the company hints at the potential of the service to create a moody garage-cum-wine cellar that overlooks the peaks of a mountain range, and a gallery-like room where a series of vehicles are displayed between large-scale photographs of classic cars.
This is not the only service providing owners with the opportunity to showcase their cars at home. In New York and Dubai ‘sky garages’ have been developed into apartment designs, where the car is brought up to your front door in an elevator.
Reignwood Hamilton Scotts in Singapore offers the tallest ensuite elevated car porch residences in Asia, with modern lifts available for transferring your Lamborghini or Ferrari directly to your apartment.
Growland wants to take this concept to Melbourne, Australia, and allow residents to park their luxury vehicles in their penthouse suits. The German-engineered parking system allows owners to display two prized cars in a glass garage beside their lounge room.
The vehicle is transferred from the basement level, directly to the private residence via a high-speed lift, where an automated sliding mechanism moves the car into place within the home.
Away from apartment builds, Damac Properties has come up with Bugatti-inspired limited edition villas dubbed Ettore 971.
The world’s first Bugatti-styled villas are conceptualised by the designers of the Bugatti Veyron to feature a car-themed lavish interior, along with an indoor vehicle display area — so you can cherish your car from any corner of your living room, even when you’re not driving it.
