Built on a philosophy that embraces privacy, comfort and style, 1046 Glenhuntly Road is a much-anticipated addition to the leafy streets of Caulfield South.

The project consists of oversized two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses. The homes are intentionally curated for owner occupiers and buyers will have the option of merging apartments to create grandiose living spaces.

Project Friday, the award-winning developer behind 1046 Glenhuntly Road, appointed Tecture to oversee architectural design and Ben Scott Garden Design to work on landscape design. The result is a visionary masterpiece making its mark on the Australian property market, garnering overwhelming enquiry before the project has even launched.

The external body of the building speaks the language of Art Deco, but with an undeniable accent of modern comfort, space and technology that is distinctly twenty-first century.

Ben Scott Garden Design built on Tecture's design to add notes of nature that were in tune with the theme. “After seeing the architecture we had an idea to design an atrium entrance garden. We wanted to create a verdant lush visual garden that residents and their guests could appreciate all year round,” they commented. “The planting includes a palette of different foliage, textures and colours, strategically selected for their differing microclimates on the site.”

The greenness of 1046 Glenhuntly Road extends to its sustainability, seen as an increasingly attractive quality among modern Melbournites. With energy- and water-efficient appliances and fixtures, double glazed performance glass, dimmable lights and solar-boosted power, the building achieves a 6 star energy rating.

Beyond generously-proportioned kitchens and bathrooms, and light-filled living spaces, the apartment includes additional features that work to maintain the natural melody of living.

At the door, you’ll find an entry shelf – the perfect place to keep your keys, wallet and other daily essentials so you never leave the home without them. What about your phone? You’ll find it at 100% in its usual spot, plugged into the apartment’s built-in phone charger. These little details make a big difference when it comes to creating a simple and practical lifestyle.

The project’s philosophy around an enhanced living experience naturally extends to the inclusion of high quality fixtures, finishes and materials. Built for longevity, the interior’s signs of aging will be a distant concern and reconstructive upkeep will be minimal.

The white-oiled engineered timber flooring used throughout the kitchen, living area and study is a perfect example of quality material selection. The rich hues are illuminated through expansive glazing and given space to breathe with 2.7m ceilings.

For fashion-forward buyers, the ultimate highlight of the living experience lies in the bedroom, where a luxurious built-in wardrobe will transform the way you organise your clothes. With hanging rails, drawers, open shelves and shoe racks, picking out an outfit in the morning will be a breeze.

Harmonising with the development’s exterior design, the monochromatic bathroom is constructed of clean lines, seen in the wall tiling and vanity, that are softened by curves in the mirror, sink and lighting fixtures. With the option to install underfloor electric heating, showering on cold winter mornings will be something to look forward to.
