Carrington: The Best of Both Worlds

Not too long ago, apartment developments filled with luxury amenities were mostly found in the inner-city suburbs.

But as Melbourne continues to grow and expand, so too does the range of options available for people who want the best of city-living, but are choosing trees over skyscrapers.

A contemporary, new development in Melbourne’s eastern suburb of Box Hill fits the bill for those searching for the best of both worlds.

‘Carrington’ successfully blends modern, effortless living, with the perks of an inner-city development such as a grand lobby with a landscaped atrium and advanced technology; with all apartments wired with an audio and video intercom.

It’s the little touches in apartment complexes that make life easier, and why an increasing amount of first-home buyers, families and downsizers now prefer this way of living.

Carrington has a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments on offer across the 50 dwelling complex, catering to every lifestyle.

“There are two main points of difference Carrington offers to the Box Hill market. Firstly, it’s a boutique development and secondly, the whole project revolves around a high quality of finish,” explains Castran’s Lachlan Castran.

“The developer [Landream] has taken time to analyse the market and fill the void. There are plenty of options for purchasers to buy investment style apartments in Box Hill, but nothing catering for the individual who wants something more sumptuous. Carrington is delivering a South Yarra type finish to Box Hill.”

Designed by leading architect ‘Plus Architecture’, the contemporary facade of timber and lush, green garden, provides some insight into what can be expected behind close doors, where premium finishes are used throughout the six-star energy rated complex.

Open-plan living, kitchen and dining areas connect through to either a large, entertainment balcony, or private garden.

The kitchen comes complete with Asko Appliances, including a WOK burner, integrated fridge and freezer and stone benchtops, while double-glazed windows ensure privacy and promise to reduce noise.

And while apartment living boasts a number of perks, the squeeze of inner-city life often poses the issue of space and a lack of car parking.

However, as Carrington is the best of both worlds, that’s not a concern, with no need for car stackers.

Instead, there is plenty of parking available, and additional spaces if required, as well as extra storage.

As for location, well Box Hill has transformed into an eclectic, multi-cultural hub, filled with highly-sought after cafes, restaurants and shops along Whitehorse Road, while Box Hill Central is conveniently nearby.

A tram line connects the area through to the city, while Box Hill Station is minutes away, as are leading educational facilities Deakin University, Box Hill TAFE and Box Hill High.

“The buyer we are attracting is very connected to Box Hill. They don’t want to be too far away from where they shop, where they go for lunch or dinner or for entertainment. But they don’t want to be caught in that hub. Carrington is removed enough to offer peace and quiet, but still only a stone’s throw from Box Hill,” Mr Castran says.
