Live City has sold 60 per cent of its 208 apartments, after a successful grand launch in late August. The project is currently under construction, with settlement scheduled for October 2019.

The selection of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are finished to the highest standards. The open plan interiors feature classic yet contemporary fixtures and finishes, such as large-format tiles in bathrooms and glass splashbacks in kitchens. On top of this, floor-to-ceiling windows allow expansive views over the city from many of the apartments.

Residents have access to a range of shared amenities, such as the communal bar and lounge on the upper-level podiums. These spaces, along with multi-purpose rooms, provide a gorgeous setting for entertaining friends and family or enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sun set over Melbourne’s CBD.

Located on the site of the old Kinnears Ropeworks factory — a beloved landmark for the Footscray community — the newest mixed-use precinct in Footscray has made a name for itself in the Melbourne property landscape. The development team has enlisted the help of Lovell Chen architects and heritage consultants, as well as the expertise of Heritage Victoria, to preserve as much of the site’s original construction as possible.

The $750 million urban regeneration project is a fully integrated mixed-use community. The retail and dining precinct features boutique retail stores, as well as cafés and restaurants while the bordering laneways are expressively decorated with commissioned artwork — paying homage to the Kinnears factory.

At Live City, residents are placed within convenient reach of well-serviced modern amenities. Less than 10 minutes away by car, Highpoint Shopping Centre is the second largest of its kind in Victoria and contains over 500 stores. From high-end retailers to boutique clothing lines, Highpoint is guaranteed to satisfy.

The expansive grounds of Quarry Park are just over fifteen minutes away and offer connections to the Maribyrnong River. Locals can be found following the meandering river to Café Boutique and the Riviera Café and Restaurant with views over the waterfront, where the rowing club can be seen practising on the weekend.

The once-industrialised area of Footscray has seen urban regeneration in the last decade. Now, the community is known as a multicultural arts and food hub. People travel from all over Melbourne to dine at Addis Abeba, Awash, and Abesha — Ethiopian restaurants which dish up delectable traditional fares such as injera (flatbread) and sambusa (a fried pastry often filled with meat). And with other cuisines from Greek to Italian and Thai to Chinese, residents are spoiled for culinary choice.

The development team has ensured this new precinct is set to enhance the thriving culture and community spirit already present in Footscray. The inclusion of unique, world-class retail, commercial, residential and public spaces celebrate the suburb’s multiculturalism while honouring the history of the site.
