The South Yarra lifestyle is an enviable one; warm cafes, yoga studios and some of Melbourne’s best shopping, a lifestyle centred around convenience, socialising and wellbeing.

Little Projects’ latest project, located in the Forest Hill precinct of South Yarra, is turning heads, as it presents a massive shift in the apartment expectations of the area; precisely designed apartments utilising every square metre.

An iconic and fashionable location, The Elfin in Claremont Street, South Yarra delivers an outstanding address. Conveniently located just 3.4km from Melbourne's CBD, South Yarra is home to the Toorak Road and Chapel Street precincts and offers myriad fashion, dining and leisure opportunities.

Rising high above Claremont Street, The Elfin's striking facade and welcoming entry lobby have been thoughtfully designed by Plus Architecture, while the interiors have been beautifully designed and detailed by Hecker Guthrie.

“We asked Hecker Guthrie to reimagine the one-bedroom apartment and create something exceptional, in line with what one would expect at a high-end hotel,” Little Projects Managing Director Michael Fox said.

“We’re really proud of the result, and Hecker Guthrie’s ability to make The Elfin a complete living experience, using every possible metre of space for clever storage and considered design.”

Plus Architecture, combined with the interior talents of Hecker Guthrie, have collaborated to create a design and occupier conscious apartment building, with intelligent floor-plans and clever joinery that has created an apartment that feels spacious.

“We put a lot of thought into our spaces and ensure everything in each apartment has a home,” Mr Fox said.

He said the living zones present a cohesive lounge and dining space, with room to entertain family and friends. The bedrooms have concealed wardrobes and multi-purpose study zones with elegant shelves, and the bathrooms have detailed tiling, hidden storage, chic black tap ware and Scandinavian Muuto pendant lighting.

Residents can catch the sunset over the city each evening, enjoy a summer gathering with friends, or simply read a book in The Elfin's Sky Garden. This very special retreat provides social opportunities to connect with neighbours and friends alike.

“The Australian Bureau of Statistics has it that 41 per cent of South Yarra residents live alone, and we know from the success of Ilk and Central South Yarra that one-bedroom apartments are coveted in the suburb,” Mr Fox said.

“So we’ve focussed on one-bedroom apartments and added the quality amenities that Little Projects is known for, such as the rooftop facility for leisure and entertainment.”

It is not often that a development garners so much attention for the right reasons. The Elfin, however, has attracted buyers through its progressive design, Little Projects’ reputation, and of course its location. If Little Projects’ previous developments are anything to go by, the apartments at The Elfin will not be available to buy for much longer.
