Bensons Property Group is establishing Anchor & Cecil in prestigious Prahran — a brand-new luxury development only 100 metres from vibrant Chapel Street.
Designed by Fender Katsaladis and SORA Interior Architecture and Design, the building has been inspired by Prahran's dual identity of industrialisation and historical heritage.
The residences have been crafted in two distinct styles, each with its own unique interiors. The 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, called Anchor Residences, occupy the first 5 levels and have been modelled with an industrial chic style, while the upper-level half-floor residences, called Cecil Residences, feature a classically refined design.
"Anchor and Cecil takes a new architectural direction for Bensons and is unlike anything else in the area, ingeniously integrating the timeless sophistication and industrial allure of Prahran through modern design applications,” said Karl Fender.
He added, “We understand that the vibrant demographic Anchor & Cecil appeals to demands individuality, distinctiveness and choice, and that is exactly what this project delivers.”
Designed by celebrity chef Shane Delia, Anchor Residences kitchens showcase suspended metal shelving, rich timber-look joinery and concrete texture benchtops and have been fitted out with SMEG appliances. Exposed concrete ceilings and track lighting in the living spaces further enhance the industrial aesthetic.
In contrast to its counterpart, Cecil Residences exude a subtle moodiness reflective of the premium side of Prahran. Custom television joinery, floor-to-ceiling windows, and fireplaces are just some of the inclusions which add to the refined character of these homes.
Both styles enjoy access to the meticulously detailed lobby downstairs and the calm waters of the exclusive swimming pool above the podium level. Featuring barbecues, seating, and lush landscaping, the sun-drenched pool deck is the ideal place to spend time socialising on the weekend, or sipping a cocktail as the sun sets.
From the thriving café and boutique shopping scene to the electric mix of contemporary restaurants and bars, Chapel Street is an enviable backdrop to which Anchor & Cecil is ideally connected.
“Tucked away towards the Windsor end of Chapel St, right in the heart of Prahran, future residents will be absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to picking where to eat, what to wear and where to hang out with friends and family,” says Brett Howlett, National Director of Developments at Bensons Property Group.
“Looking at how well-positioned the project is, just a short walk from all of the nearby restaurants, bars and retail spaces – as well as its close proximity to the CBD and public transport – it really brings to mind that New York lifestyle experience of living just ‘off-Broadway’ that so many people aspire to find.”
