Building on Armadale’s reputation for expansive living, exceptional design and exclusive luxury, Sutherland is an address of contemporary sophistication for a new generation.

Manuel Gamucio, the project’s lead architect from award-winning firm CHT, says the landscape was one of the key elements of the design.

“We included large garden areas which run around the building so that residents are able to enjoy natural views out over the trees,” he says. “The façade, meanwhile, comprises natural finishes and gorgeous plantings to further increase the connection with the surrounding environment.”

Inside the boutique collection of just 23 apartments and singular penthouse, interior design studio SORA has crafted a carefully considered palette of materials and fittings.

Chosen in keeping with the façade, each home can be upgraded with classic-look chevron flooring and timeless stone benchtops in kitchens and bathrooms. Adding to the elegance these spaces exude, there’s a choice of pale oak or burned oak joinery complemented by refined gold-toned detailing.

“We wanted to introduce elements of mid-century design to reflect that style of architecture in Armadale,” notes Jessica Kazenwadel, the SORA’s senior interior designer. “We also wanted to include higher-end finishes, such as natural stone and timber.”
