Majestic in design, luxurious in look and feel, Royal Como is a building befitting its name.

The first Australian project by renowned international developer, C&L International Holdings, Royal Como is ideally located in the heart of South Yarra, at 663 Chapel Street, and epitomises elegance and sophistication in every aspect.

Poised on the doorstep of some of Melbourne‘s leading schools, designer shops, entertainment and sporting complexes, and public transport, Royal Como is only a 100 meter walk from South Yarra train station as well as two tram lines, facilitating easy access to Melbourne’s CBD (9 minutes by train) and leading universities.

Melbourne High School, Melbourne Grammar and Melbourne Girls Grammar are just some of the leading Melbourne school’s located a stone throw from the building.

Configured over 21 levels and consisting of 112 spacious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, as well as a majestic 4-bedroom penthouse over 418 square meters*, Royal Como is the first project of its kind to celebrate Australian design. This is masterfully expressed with the inimitable colour schemes, sophisticated materials and fittings.

The aim of the project was to incorporate design, influence by London and New York, to blend in with functionality, said Director of C&L International Holdings, Echo He.

“One of our aims for the project was to create a sense of place for Australian design, like that of New York and Europe. We were also very keen to support Australian designers, brands and suppliers.”

To facilitate ease of lifestyle Royal Como residents will also have privileged access to an exclusive residents pool, open lounge, dining space and state-of-the-art gymnasium with unobstructed views of the city to the north and Chapel Street to the south.

With the monthly rent for South Yarra units up 18% and capital and growth up 20.23% over the last 5 years, versus 15.22% for Melbourne metropolitan areas, Royal Como promises to be an exceedingly attractive proposition not only for owner occupiers looking for luxury and ease of lifestyle, but also for savvy investors looking for strong returns, as the average yield for South Yarra apartments is 4.37%," He concluded.

Australian timber flooring, locally sourced alpaca wool carpets, Australian artwork and quintessential Australian colour schemes are just some of the distinctive interior features included alongside exclusive baths, basins and tapware from internationally renowned, Australian design legend Marc Newson, for Caroma.

Daniel Cashen, Director of Knight Frank Residential Victoria, is in love with the development, and understands that it will be a place that appeals to a lot of Melburnians.

"This project truly represents the kind of luxury living that Melburnians associate with South Yarra. With input from ourselves on what buyers value most in apartment living, the design team worked tirelessly to create homes that are efficient, functional and elegant. We are very proud to offer Royal Como to buyers as a landmark residential development,"

The façade of the building will feature reflective silver glass combined with an angled motif, which advances across the façade surface. This provides the building with a sense of movement, inspired by the ripples and color of the water at dusk on the iconic Yarra River; the rustling wind and movement of the leaves along the tree-lined Alexandra Avenue and the Como House gardens. The reflections and interplay of light across the façade will enable the building form to be engaging and distinctive from all distances.

John Scaramuzzino, Corporate Director at Bruce Henderson Architects is in love with the design, the symmetry and how it approaches the interiors.

"“Royal Como represents a harmonious synthesis of architecture and interior design. Through the establishment of a singular and cohesive vision we have realized a design outcome which is consistent, compelling and of the highest standard.”

"This sense of regality carries through to the interiors with spatial and apartment planning by Bruce Henderson Architects and designed by award-winning design studio, Nexus Designs.

Sonia Simpfendorfer, the Creative Director of Nexus Designs has created an intentionally minimal and serene palate, with one classic colour scheme highlighting shades of beige. The interiors are inspired by the sophistication and simplicity of an immaculate gallery space," said Scaramuzzino.
