Developer Kokoda Property is gearing up to regenerate one of Melbourne’s most exclusive suburbs with Malvern Collective.
Set to transform the broader community of Malvern, the 4,714 sqm site will introduce new dining, retail and commercial outlets to the area, including two stunningly designed apartment buildings with communal facilities to rival five-star hotels.
“The project marks an exciting development for Kokoda, which is set to reinvigorate the southern end of Glenferrie Road in one of Melbourne’s most sought-after suburbs,” says Mark Stevens, Managing Director of Kokoda Property.
“We pride ourselves on developing projects that are lifestyle-driven and offer people more than just a home. This brand-new Malvern community precinct will do just that, establishing a community where everything is within reach – from transport and cafes, to private schools and multi-use social spaces.”
Among over 250 residences, Malvern Collective will feature 10 retail spaces and a complete restoration of the Angel Tavern — a local legend reborn.
Here, the award-winning studio of Technē, known for designing some of Melbourne’s most iconic venues, has created a place of relaxed sophistication where residents and visitors alike can enjoy a meal with friends, or a long weekend afternoon in the sunny beer garden.
Running through the centre of the regeneration project is Station Place, designed in line with Melbourne’s celebrated laneway culture.
“Under the Malvern Collective precinct plan, Station Place will become a vibrant, contemporary space,” adds Mr Stevens. “We plan for an artisan bakery, organic food store, health and wellness centre, boutique cinema, and much more.”
The project’s laneways will also increase functionality for up to 3,000 commuters traveling to and from the easily accessible Malvern train station each day, making the daily commute between the leafy suburb and CBD a breeze.
Malvern Collective is surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty. So whether it’s taking the dog for a brisk walk, taking a lazy stroll in the afternoon sunshine, or enjoying a leisurely picnic with friends, nearby Malvern Public Gardens and Caulfield Park have you covered.
If it’s shopping you’re after, Malvern Collective puts you at the heart of the retail and design scene. Glenferrie Road is home to a host of unique finds, while international fashion icons line High Street. Stop by Assembly Label for relaxed wardrobe staples, slip into a sculpted silhouette from Dion Lee or invest in a statement piece from Acne Studios — you're never short of boutiques to shop in style.
Away from the eclectic streets below, rising above the signature heritage buildings, you’ll find refuge at Malvern Collective. Kokoda Property has teamed up with heritage consultants Lovell Chen and award-winning architects Jackson, Clements and Burrows (JCB) to create an exterior façade that pays homage to the area’s past.
Inside, designed by acclaimed studio Carr Design, is an environment inspired by 5-star hotels from around the world.
Residents are welcomed by stunning oak timber flooring, reconstituted stone, brushed satin tapware, warm walnut timber, and cool joinery, creating a perfect mix of contemporary and new.
The considered luxury of Malvern Collective extends far beyond your home, with a host of resort-style amenities — here, your physical, mental and social well being are taken care of.
Take a dip in the expansive rooftop pool, relax at the boutique-style spa and sauna, or take in the newest releases at the onsite cinema. The ground floor has been designed to accommodate the wellness centre, so whether working up a sweat in a class with fellow residents or taking some time for yourself to find inner peace, the latest practices will be available.
Malvern Collective not only heralds a new age for the neighbourhood, but offers luxurious living inside a perfectly considered homage to Malvern’s heritage.
