The Moonee Valley Racecourse, an icon in Melbourne’s inner-north, is about to undergo a profound $2 billion urban regeneration thanks to developer Hamton and partner Hostplus.
Located just six kilometres from the CBD, the development will unlock 40 hectares of inner- city land and transform it into Moonee Valley Park – a meticulously planned neighbourhood within a sprawling new botanical parkland.
Where most urban redevelopments are focused on the built environment, with the landscape as an afterthought, Moonee Valley Park places the botanical park at the forefront. There are well-known health and wellbeing benefits of experiencing a connection to nature.
