Hong Kong based GH-Property have opened their high-rise debut with $145m, 20 storey development at Milton in Brisbane's CBD.

GH Property, having recently purchased Noosa Springs Golf Resort and Teh Link Hope Island Golf Club, has now moved its attention to its latest project, Icon Milton. Their latest project is designed at owner-occupiers and will fit in seamlessly with the other high-rises in the area.

Architect, Jackson Teece, plans to offer open-plan living rooms, with high ceilings, luxury fititngs and features, and walk-out balconies. Jackson Teece have been a mainstay in Australia's property design, with previous projects including the Julius Street Apartments and even the Central Synagogue in Bondi, Sydney.

“We are keen to meet demand for luxury apartments in the inner suburbs of Brisbane as the city’s real estate market continues to strengthen,” Mr Feng said.

“We are confident the project’s blue-chip location will resonate with end users and astute investors who understand high quality properties in superior locations such as Icon Milton will outperform the general market from both lifestyle and investment perspectives.

“Brisbane’s infrastructure has also matured and the city has subsequently cemented its position on the international map.”

Brisbane has been the space of interest for developers and clients over the past 18 months, with the warmer weather and lifestyle appealing to both Australians and those overseas.

Icon Milton's Peter Malady said that it would attract the high-end buyer looking to downsize.

“From a lifestyle perspective there is an obvious appeal to the end user market, including young professionals working in the CBD and downsizers who want to be in the heart of the action while retaining a sense of space.

“The connectivity of the location with numerous walking paths, bikeways and public transport such as Milton Station nearby certainly adds to the appeal of Icon Milton.

“Investors will be encouraged by high rental demand in Milton which has driven its rental vacancy rate for apartments down to less than one per cent.”

Icon Milton is set to commence construction in mid-2015 with apartments believed to be starting at $399,000.
