Melbourne is expanding and shrinking. An increased accessibility with public transport, infrastructure and the lure of getting away from the density of city life, has made Melbourne’s outer suburbs all the more appealing.

Located at 830 Plenty Road, South Morang, and starting at $315,000, Morang Views, developed by Universal Corporation, is modernising a location that is regarded as one of Victoria’s fastest growing suburbs. Designed as a natural development, tranquility and peacefulness are the embodied themes here, with a strong intention to provide a lot of greenery for the occupiers

Over the past two years, South Morang has been Australia’s fastest growing suburbs, allowing first home buyers to purchase a property in an up and coming suburb, and also providing investors with a fresh area to extend their portfolio.

“When it comes down to it - there was a need for accommodation in South Morang and it has consistently - in terms of percentage growth, been Australia’s fastest growing suburb,” said Stuart Briggs, Development Manager of Universal Corporation.

“With the extension of the South Morang, or what was the Epping Railway to South Morang, it has meant that [South Morang] is a lot more accessible now. Additionally, the Bundoora tram line will be extended up to South Morang in the next year or two.”

Based on its location, Morang Views is targeted at first home buyers, with owner-occupiers dominating enquiries and sales.

“There are a lot of first home buyers that are moving to that corridor that goes out from Thornbury and Preston, and West from Greensborough and Eltham. Obviously land is expensive in those areas - and so Morang Views is comparatively priced really well,” said Briggs.

Morang Views, comprising of 215 residences, the project consists of 37 apartments and 26 town houses. The apartments range from 100sqm, whereas the townhouses are ranging between 146-197sqm. All residences come with a parking space and have access to all the amenities that are sure to impress both residences and guests alike.

The exteriors are cleverly designed to match with perforated panels surrounding the apartments and blocking patterns throughout the development further playing on natural looks. The development comes with an elegant clean solid colour base that allows residences to customise their home to their unique style.

South Morang’s recent accessibility is the real driving change for the development, where previously, it may have been an unrealistic area for apartment development.

“Its driven by accessibility - if you’ve allocated $400,000 to house a family of four,  then you’re not going to buy in Richmond or Fitzroy - and obviously the further you go out the larger the home, and the trade off is obviously travel time… however, with Morang Views, we are situated in an area that is now making that accessibility even more accessible,” Stuart Briggs continued.

South Morang is most likely a new suburb on your map, but with new public transport construction, and a huge percentage growth, South Morang is only a short and direct 23km from Melbourne’s CBD. For those wanting a relaxed and calm living atmosphere, but still want to be touching the hustle of Melbourne’s CBD, Morang Views may be perfect for you - to enquire click here.
