The most expensive penthouse at ONE30 Hyde Park has sold off-the-plan for $9.72-Million to a local buyer.

The two-storey penthouse has an internal lift and spectacular views over the revamped War Memorial in Hyde Park to Sydney Harbour and beyond.

The penthouse is 225sqm internally with a 52sqm balcony. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a family room that can double as a further bedroom or a sunroom, and two secure parking spaces.

The penthouse was sold by Ecove, which is developing ONE30 Hyde Park jointly with the Aoyuan Property Group of Hong Kong.

“The penthouse is a balance of intimate rooms and more extravagant spaces, while the balcony is perfect for entertaining friends with Sydney’s green heart as a backdrop, or for a relaxed alfresco family breakfast,” said the Sales Manager of Ecove, Louie Bechara.

“The purchaser of the penthouse wishes to remain anonymous. However, I can say that just like this purchaser, the vast majority of sales have been to local professional people who like the idea of living in a walk-to-work location.”

Next week Ecove plans to announce the winning builder for the 38-level project at 130 Elizabeth Street, with demolition of the existing structure scheduled to start in February. As part of the development, Aoyuan and Ecove will create a prestigious entry to Museum Railway Station which is on their site.

ONE30 HYDE Park is a return to style, elegance and comfort, using traditional, precious materials – but in a progressive way. The interiors are timeless, capturing the spirit and sophistication of those grand London and New York buildings that front the city’s major public park.

“We are creating a building that does justice to our landmark site on the edge of Sydney’s most beautiful public park,” said Sue Ballesty, Marketing Manager of Ecove.

“From the moment residents walk into the grand sandstone and marble foyer and are greeted by a concierge they will experience gracious living. Then when they reach their apartment they will gain views that are among the best our city can offer.”

Ms Ballesty said a superb collection of apartments remain for sale at ONE Hyde Park, many with parking, including:

·         One-bedrooms from $1,068,000

·         Two-bedrooms from $2,188,000, and

·         Three-bedrooms from $3,128,000
