Pace of Abbotsford wins planning approval

Pace Development Group has received permit approval on their Johnston Street warehouse site – construction for the new residential building, Pace of Abbotsford, is set to commence shortly.

The development, designed in conjunction with SJB Architects, will include a major building rejuvenation and result in 133 new apartments across 12 floors with one, two and three bedroom layouts.

Included in the development is the restoration of the existing façade of the historic St Crispin House which currently occupies the site – over time it has been occupied by a shoe leather supplier, machine tool firm and other boutique businesses. Pace will be preserving the classic red-brick exterior while bringing the building to life with a considered new design that marries past and present.

Residents of Pace of Abbotsford will not only benefit from the building’s inherited industrial charm and prestigious address but also an impressive collection of communal facilities.
