Style and sophistication have a new home in Brunswick East with the launch of ISEO, a new apartment project offering sleek and contemporary living in the sought after northern suburb, famous for its café and restaurant culture.

The iconic Lygon Street site - situated directly opposite George Calombaris’ famed Hellenic Republic restaurant – will feature 28 one and two bedroom apartments and ground floor retail.

A collaborative effort between award-winning practice Plus Architecture, high- end landscape architect Brett Robinson of Acre and developer TON Projects, ISEO apartments start from just $379,000.

Apartments feature a sophisticated palette combining washed oak flooring with an industrial inspired palette of gunmetal tones and sleek black Smeg appliances.

Narelle Cuthbert Head Interior Designer at Plus Architecture said the vision was to create sleek and contemporary interiors with enduring appeal, while also being mindful of Brunswick East’s rich industrial heritage.

“Apartment interiors feature industrial yet sophisticated finishes throughout including stunning loft style timber floors that offer a heightened sense of space, a mix of track lighting in the kitchen and an exposed wall light in the bathroom, which is further enhanced by the large format bathroom tiles on both the walls and floor.

“As these apartments are larger than standard one and two bedroom apartments, we were also conscious of providing as much clever storage as possible, including a mix of both overhead cupboards and overhead shelving in the kitchen and seamlessly integrating the fridge and pantry,” she said.

Apartments will overlook a stunning landscaped sanctuary of creeper vines and bespoke hanging lights, while the cosy and private courtyard features trailing ground covers that spill over the paving and a floating bench achieved through clever mirror placement.

ISEO is an iconic display of the gentrification of the Brunswick East area with the Lygon Street site returning to its former residential status, after 36 years operating as a commercial space.

With over 60 years of property experience behind TON Projects, they have earmarked the Lygon Street site as one of their most exiting new projects.TON Projects Director Stefan Toniolo said the transformation of Brunswick East is a response to shifting market demands, as more individuals seek out the edgier and creative hubs of Melbourne’s inner city.

“Brunswick East is fast establishing itself as a sought after location. It offers a strong sense of community, an endless array of cafes and restaurants and the CBD is only a short tram ride away.

“Our vision for ISEO is to deliver an aesthetically beautiful project that encompasses the lifestyle the area has to offer, while also standing the test of time for generations to come.

“Whilst the project is boutique in size, ISEO apartments feature only the finest fixtures and finishings and will suite everyone from sophisticated professionals who are eager to capitalise on the location offerings, through to first home buyers who view good design as an important element of modern living,” said Stefan.
