Modernist in its outlook, new residential project Timeless brings just that to Elsternwick – a classic sense of style and quality perfectly suited to these perennial streetscapes.

Developer Moda and architects Ewert Leaf have partnered to create this boutique building of just 12 residences, drawing on an era when apartment living was a sophisticated choice, not a compromise.

Ewert Leaf took inspiration from the timeless architectural works of legendary architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. This comes through in the elegant horizontal lines, generous terraces and the use of classic, quality materials. Ewert Leaf’s experience in heritage areas is evident in the way Timeless showcases contemporary design with a respect for the past and the streets that surround it.

The design of these homes has been considered for the long term, with the aim being to have a building that looks as good in 30 years time as it does today. Says Ewert Leaf’s Will Leaf, “We’re always drawn to finishes that transcend fashion.”

Open plan with high ceilings, the oversized living areas utilise simple, classic materials like oak timber flooring in ‘French Grey’ or ‘Driftwood’ (laid in traditional or chevron style) to strike a balance between the modern and the classic. Kitchen details include Miele appliances, custom cabinetry with routed-timber detailing, natural marble slabs, and brushed platinum or aged-brass Astra Walker tapware.

Calming bedrooms feature natural wool carpeting, whilst the bathrooms are also imbued with the building’s timeless aesthetic through the use of terrazzo tiling to the floors and walls, harking back to the original interiors of the neighbouring heritage homes. Cabinetry lines are clean, elegant and hide plenty of storage.

Each residence features its own spacious outdoor area for relaxation and entertaining, including generous terraces and individually designed gardens. Renowned John Patrick Landscape Architects created designs and planting approaches that work perfectly with the building’s architecture. Auto-irrigation and hardy planting ensure these gardens thrive, remaining lush and as timeless as the building itself.

Further testament to this green approach, these residences have been designed to achieve a 6 Star energy rating and maintain their high-quality appeal with low maintenance.

Taking up a prime spot in this sought-after area, Timeless makes the most of Elsternwick’s impressive Walk Score of 95 – much appreciated by the locals. Timeless is located a short walk to the vibrant Elsternwick shopping precinct and Elsternwick Train Station. The ever growing collection of cafes, fresh food stores and quick eateries keeps this neighbourhood on the move.
