There is a reason Melbourne has been voted the world’s most liveable city a number of times.

And perhaps if there were a suburb exemplifying why Melbourne was crowned the title, Mordialloc would be up there with the contenders.

Bordered by a beach on one end, Woodlands Golf Course on another, with highly sought-after schools sprinkled throughout, it’s little wonder why families have been flocking to call Mordialloc home.

And in the centre of the bayside suburb is a new development called The Verge, offering 44 premium townhouses.

Managing Director of Auyin Property Development, Tony Huang, says its attracted interest from young families in the area.

“They make up the majority of enquiries, we’ve already sold 30 per cent and the big marketing campaign only started last week,” he says.

The three-storey townhouses come with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a lock up double-garage, they also feature premium finishes such as stone benchtops, Miele appliances, and three metre high ceilings.

As for the location, it’s a short walk to the beach and Mordialloc Station, while the prestigious Haileybury and Mentone Grammar are also nearby, and shopaholics can easily pop in to Southland Shopping Centre.

In addition, there are also a number of parks and playgrounds within walking distance, creating the ideal location to raise a family.

The bayside pocket is often perceived as having the best of both worlds.

The picturesque Mornington Peninsula isn’t far, but then again, neither is the centre of Melbourne’s CBD.

“If people come to the site they’ll love the spot. Mordialloc is a booming suburb, and it’s a very competitive price compared to Parkdale and Mentone, but the lifestyle is still exactly the same,” Mr Huang says.
